HOUSTON – A drive-by shooting has left people wounded in a north Houston apartment complex, police said.
Residents in the Sago Palms apartment complex were standing outside chatting around 9:30 p.m. Sunday when a car pulled up in front of the group on Rushcreek Drive near Northborough Drive, according to officials.
Investigators said men inside the car pointed a gun at the group and fired 30 times.
Xavier Jones, 21, and Jemarcus Williams, 28 were both struck by the gunfire.
One of the men was shot in the ankle and the other man was shot in the head, police said.
Both victims were taken to the hospital and both are expected to live.
The men in the car fled the scene.
