Armed robbers crash getaway car during police chase in Spring, officers say

SPRING, Texas – A pair of robbers hit up a check cashing-cashing store before leading deputies on a chase and eventually crashing their getaway car.

Deputies said the gunmen walked into a Check ‘n’ Go in near the North Freeway in Spring and demanded money. The duo allegedly made off with the cash, but didn’t get far.

Video shows the men leading officers on a short chase before crashing their truck.

The gunalleged gunmen were later identified as Rory Wells, 22, and Jamal Williams, 22.

Wells and Williams were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

Investigators said the stolen money was recovered — as well as the guns used in the robbery.
