HOUSTON – The store near the Heights was packed with people, all trying to take advantage of the huge Black Friday sales on Thursday.
When the doors at Target opened, shoppers rushed in.
Most of them had been waiting outside all afternoon hoping that once they got inside, they could get their hands on a discounted big screen TV.
Some of them were marked down more than $200.
"We do it every year. It's an adrenaline rush. It's what we live for. We do our Thanksgiving at lunch and then we come here. We enjoy it," shopper Jackie Moore said.
The Toys-R-Us store on I-10 in Bunker Hill wasn't nearly as crowded, but the shoppers who were there did some serious damage.
"We've already spent a fortune here!" Betty Brown said.
Most of the pre-Black Friday sales at Toys-R-Us run until midnight, so there's still time to take advantage of the prices.
"We got two little kids, and we're trying to save a buck," Zac Alsobrooks said.
