Body found near SW Houston creek identified, police say

HOUSTON – A body was found Friday near a creek in southwest Houston has been identified.

The body was found at 7:40 a.m. near a small creek in the 2600 block of Almeda Plaza.

Police said the body of Jessie Levi Johnson, 41, was found in a drainage ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death is unknown.

Homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
