Brazoria County officials warn residents of potential flooding

Areas of concern for flooding in Brazoria County

ANGLETON – The Brazos River is expected to hit major flood levels in Brazoria County.  River levels could reach 54 feet by Thursday, exceeding the second highest level since the 1950s.

Residents along the river can expect the water to rise 2 to 3 three feet per day through Thursday.  Road closures in the county are expected on Cow Creek Road, County Road 25, and others in the Mallord Lake area.

No evacuations are in place at this time, but county officials will be monitoring the situation and will order evacuations if needed.
