HOUSTON – A man was killed and a woman was critically injured in a shooting outside an apartment complex in southwest Houston.
Police responded Wednesday around 4:10 p.m. Wednesday to Townhomes On the Park Condos in the 8200 block of Sands Point at Burning Tree.
The woman was shot multiple times and was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in critical condition.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identify has not yet been released, pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Police said witnesses saw two male shooters fleeing in a white SUV, possibly with a Texans logo on the back windshield and paper license tags. Officers do not believe the men lived at the apartment complex.
