HOUSTON – CenterPoint Energy said approximately 14,000 were without power for a few hours after a transmission line fell Sunday morning.
According to Penny Todd of CenterPoint, the outage affects homes near South Main Street in southwest Houston.

All power was restored by about 10 a.m.
The transmission line and distribution line are also lying across the road in the 11700 block of Old Main Street.
Todd said if people see power lines on the ground, they should stay away and inform CenterPoint Energy about it.
