According to a message sent to parents, the increased security was prompted by threats that circulated on social media about potential violence on campus.

The message said the secured mode lasted from 9:30 to 9:45 a.m. Monday

The spokeswoman said the school was never locked down, and a gun was not found on campus.

A letter about the incident will be sent to parents, the spokeswoman said.
