HOUSTON – A nurse at Bastian Elementary School suffered a minor cuton her arm after a 7-year-old student stabbed her Tuesday, school officials said.
The Houston Independent School District said the nurse was possibly stabbed with a screwdriver. The student was removed from campus.
HISD officials are not saying what prompted the outburst.
The school district said the student was disciplined per the HISD student code of conduct.
No other students were affected by the incident and class was dismissed as normal.
