Earn money doing small jobs in your area

When you need extra money, you might consider doing some odd jobs. It's not a new concept; but several apps are putting a new spin it. The apps post tasks businesses need completed, things that shouldn't take more than a few minutes of your time. In return, you can earn between $3 and $12 for every assignment you complete.

Field Agent lets you see available jobs in your area. When you find one you like, you accept it and you'll get all of the details of the task. We found several, including one at the Wal-Mart in Angleton. The job is to head to the area with the Silk Almond Milk display. Snap a picture and answer one question you'll get through the app. You earn $4 Field Agent send you through Paypal. Once you accept a job, you have a set amount of time to complete it, usually only a couple of hours.

GigWalk is a similar app. Once you register, it searches for gigs within your area.  We found one at an HEB that pays $11. Your gig is to head to the Wharton store and take photos of Emergen-C products. Both apps work on IOS and Android devices.
