HOUSTON – The FBI is looking for two women who are likely responsible for robbing at least five Chase Bank branches in the past month, officials said.
The latest three robberies took place Wednesday, according to a news release from the FBI’s Houston office.

About 2 p.m., the women handed a teller a threatening note demanding cash inside the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank at 19507 North Freeway in Houston, authorities said. The robbers left empty-handed, but about 30 minutes later, headed to the J.P. Morgan Bank at 929 East Little York Road in Houston, according to the FBI.
At this branch, the women presented a threatening note, told bank workers that they had a gun and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash, investigators said, adding that no one actually saw a weapon -- nor was anyone physically injured.
Officials believe that just several hours later, the same women robbed the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank at 13706 East Freeway in Houston -- in a similar manner to the other incidents, the FBI said. They got away with cash in this third incident as well, although investigators didn’t say how much. No one was hurt.
The Chase bank robberies that happened earlier this month took place Monday at 10611 Broadway in Pearland and May 1 at 1102 Silber Road in Houston. Cash was stolen in both instances.
The women are described as being thin, and between the ages of 18 and 24 years old. One is about 5 feet, 4 inches tall and the other is 5 feet 8 inches tall. The women were last seen leaving the area in a newer-model silver Volkswagen Jetta with two men inside.
The FBI Violent Crime Task Force needs help from the public in identifying these women. Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the pair.
