PEARLAND, Texas – "Hammy," the pig who was up for adoption at a Pearland animal shelter, found a new home Friday.
The adult pot-bellied pig was abandoned by his previous owner in December. He was found by the shelter when he broke into a home, trying to find food.
On Friday, the shelter posted a picture of a couple posing with "Hammy," saying he has found his "furever home."
Workers at the shelter recommended that "Hammy" spend time inside the home with his adoptive family.
