Houston Olympian reps Astros in Pyeongchang

Speedskater Jonathan Garcia loves the Astros

Pyeongchang, South Korea – An Olympic athlete from Houston will likely get some extra support from the Astros (and Astros fans) after his latest tweet.

Jonathan Garcia, a speedskater, posted a picture of his room in Olympic Village in Pyeongchang. The photo shows a space that is overflowing with patriotism. It includes a blanket that has the USA flag on it and some Team USA gear.

Garcia wrote: Getting settled in the village. #peyongchang2018 #teamusa #winter #olympics #korea

But we spied something that would bring a tear to any die-hard Astros fan's eye. Garcia has a giant Astros flag on the wall over his bed (We're not crying, you're crying!).

Garcia is a true Houstonian. On his Twitter bio, he lists the Astros, Rockets and Texans as his teams.

The Olympian even gave a shout out to the Astros after their World Series win. In a November Instagram post, he wrote, 'Your 2017 World Series Champions! They have brought the first World Series championship to Texas. They came back to win Game 7 in LA after a tough Game 6 loss, thank you for proving me wrong again! I’m so happy for the city of Houston they really deserve this win after all they’ve been through with hurricane Harvey. Enjoy it Houston! #houstonstrong #Houston #astros #texas #worldserieschamps #2017."

So there you have it: an Astros fan putting his H-Town loyalty on display for the world to see while he represents the United States in the Olympics.

It's now his turn to #EarnHistory.
