Houstonians gather downtown to enjoy Houston's Rodeo Parade

HOUSTON – Hundreds of Houstonians gathered from near and far Saturday morning to watch and participate in the 30th annual Rodeo Run and 2017 Houston Rodeo parade in downtown.

The parade's grand marshal, University of Houston's head football coach Major Applewhite, kicked off the parade as trail riders, wagons, horses, floats and marching bands made their way along the parade route.

The parade took off at 10 a.m. from corner of Bagby and Walker, and it ran from Travis to Bell Street to Louisiana Street before turning on Lamar Street and ending at Lamar and Bagby.
