HPD monitor traffic after sinkhole found in Montrose area, official say

HOUSTON – Houston police are monitored traffic after a sinkhole was found in the Montrose area Friday, officials said.

The sink hole was reported near the Commonwealth Street and Fairview Street.

Official said a woman told police about the hole after the found it. Officials said the hole is around 2 feet deep and 2 to 3 feet in diameter.

The City of Houston Street and Drainage crews are at the scene.

It is unknown what caused the sinkhole.
