KATY, Texas – The Katy Independent School District is investigating a stranger danger incident near an elementary school.
Katy ISD says a suspicious person approached a 6-year-old girl as she was walking home from Hayes Elementary on Park Timbers Lane at Westgreen Boulevard.

The district says the girl was approached around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday by a middle-aged Asian man who asked her if she wanted to go home with him.
Katy ISD says the student said no and the man left the area.
Katy ISD police are investigating this incident.
