Man charged with murder in deadly stabbing of 58-year-old woman near downtown Houston

HOUSTON – A man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of a 58-year-old woman, according to Houston police.

Police said the stabbing happened around 7 a.m. in the 1700 block of Morris Street near downtown Houston Thursday.

The suspect, Clyde Bolt, 42, has been charged with murder.

Upon arrival, officers found the woman dead in the street, suffering from several stab wounds, police said. While at the scene, Bolt approached officers and told them he had stabbed the woman, police said. Bolt was detained after he confessed to his role in the stabbing, police said.

The weapon used in the stabbing was then recovered, police said.
