Harris County officials arrest Louisiana fugitive in Channelview after widespread search Raymond Howard, allegedly escaped from law enforcement in Louisiana last year.

A significant law enforcement presence was reported along Sheldon Road Monday afternoon, stretching from Interstate 10 to the Bear Bayou area, as authorities searched for a reported fugitive.
The fugitive was later identified as Raymond Howard, 34. He escaped from law enforcement in Louisiana some time last year.
Several hours after the search was announced, officials confirmed that Howard had been taken into custody.
