Early Friday morning, Engine 11 with the Houston Fire Department was stolen along the 1000 block of the East Memorial Loop according to HFD.
The department says it responded to an automatic alarm which turned out to be a burglary. In the minutes following their response, “Engine 11 was discovered to have been stolen.”
The truck ultimately was discovered along the Memorial Golf Course and a suspect was detained. Officers discovered that during the theft the suspect left his mark with Engine 11 as they “hit a parked car.”
The suspect, according to the city, was checked out by HFD for “unknown injuries.”
