HOUSTON – Several eastbound lanes of I-10 are closed after a 18-wheeler struck the Houston Avenue bridge Friday evening.

As of Saturday morning around 11 a.m. two right lanes are still closed as crews continue their work.
TxDOT said bridge repairs are expected to continue throughout Saturday and lanes will stay closed for most of the day. They are advising drivers to seek alternate routes.
The bridge has been struck multiple times this year by 18-wheelers.
