Man arrested after leading officers on 20-mile chase to Rosenberg, police say

ROSENBERG, Texas – A man was arrested Monday after he led officers on a nearly 20-mile chase from Houston to his home in Rosenberg, police said.

Houston police said the chase started after an officer tried to stop a vehicle that was driving erratically on Bissonnet Street.

Police said the driver refused to stop and officers gave chase, following the vehicle at speeds of about 80 mph on the Southwest Freeway. Along the way, police said, the driver stopped a couple of times and yelled at officers to leave him alone.

The chase ended when the man arrived at his home on 3rd Street in Rosenberg, where he was arrested.

Police said the man faces charges of evading, driving while intoxicated and assault on a peace officer.
