Man arrested in southern Houston crash that killed 1

HOUSTON – Police arrested a man in connection with a crash that killed a person in southern Houston on Sunday night.

The crash was reported about 11:40 p.m. at the intersection of Scott and Lockhart streets.

According to Houston police, as a car pulled onto Scott Street from Lockhart Street it was hit by a vehicle speeding north on Scott Street.

The 58-year-old driver of the car died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 58-year-old Eric Tart, was charged with intoxication manslaughter.
