HOUSTON – A man jumped out of a car that caught fire Monday afternoon on Katy Freeway, police said.
The incident happened on the inbound freeway at Eldridge parkway about 3:45 p.m.

Houston Police Department officials said traffic is delayed eastbound on the freeway as firefighters put out the blaze.
Police said the man is breathing and conscious, but details of his injuries have not been released.
It is unknown why his vehicle started on fire.
