Man charged in sexual assault of boy, 10, at Houston library, police say

HOUSTON – Jonathan Josue Guevara Cea is facing the possibility of prison time after police arrested the Houston man Friday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy inside a library restroom in Aldine.

In fact, the Houston Police Department released video of Guevara Cea, 24, on the afternoon of Aug. 24 entering the Aldine Branch library on Airline Drive the day of the assault.

Investigators said when the young victim went to use the restroom, Guevara Cea -- who was already inside -- forced the boy into a stall and sexually assaulted him.

The child was able to escape and run and tell his mother.

Police say that's when Guevara Cea left the library on foot.

Channel 2 made several attempts to speak with someone at Guevara Cea's apartment in north Houston, but no one answered the door.

The neighbors we talked to said they didn't know Guevara Cea very well because he usually kept to himself.

He now has questions to answer as he sits in the Harris County jail charged with aggravated sex assault of a child.

The Houston Police Department is asking anyone who thinks Guevara Cea had inappropriate contact with their child to contact the department or Crime Stoppers.
