HOUSTON – A man standing on top of a car caused a traffic delay on the Eastex Freeway Friday morning.
The bizarre incident initially started as a traffic accident on the Eastex Freeway southbound at West Mt. Houston.
According to an official with TxDOT, a driver heading southbound on Highway 59 was involved in an accident with an 18-wheeler.
Moments later, the driver began to jump, kick and dance on the roof of his car. Witnesses say he was yelling at other drivers as they rolled slowly by.
Transtar video captured footage of the man standing on top of the car.
Harris County deputies arrived and took the man into custody. Transtar video captured the driver dropping to his knees and then putting his hands behind his head.
