CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The body of a 61-year-old fisherman was found Monday in Corpus Christi Bay, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
The man's wife told police she was waiting in their vehicle while he went wade fishing off Mustang Island about 11 p.m. Sunday. She fell asleep while waiting for him and contacted police when she woke up.

The Coast Guard said it sent a helicopter crew, along with boat crews from other agencies, while Texas Parks and Wildlife Department personnel searched onshore.
Coast Guard personnel spotted the man's body in the water at 3:33 p.m. A USCG boat stayed with the man's body until Nueces County Fire Department workers could recover the body.
