HOUSTON – A duplex was engulfed in flames Tuesday in Houston’s Third Ward, near Texas Southern University.
The fire broke out just before 4 a.m. at the two-story duplex on Cleburne at Ennis.
Officials said the duplex was under construction.
A vacant neighboring home also caught fire.
No injuries were reported.
The road in the area is closed as emergency crews battle the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
