Mother claims daughter was inappropriately touched on Cy-Fair school bus

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – It's a discovery no parent wants to make: Learning that your child may have been improperly touched by another student.

A Harris County family said their 6-year-old daughter was fondled by an 11-year-old male student.

"As an adult and as a parent hearing that that happened to your baby it just, it hurts so much that someone has stolen your baby's innocence," the girl's mother said.

Per Channel 2 policy, we're not naming her to protect the identity of her daughter.

She said it happened on her child's morning bus ride to Post Elementary School in Cy-Fair Independent School District.

The boy -- she says -- had bullied her daughter and even threatened her before the alleged incident.

"He told her, 'No, you're gonna do it. I have rules. You're going to follow them and if you don't I'm going to punch you in the face,' she recalls her daughter telling her. "He asked her if he could touch her private (parts). She told him no. And he said, 'Well I'm going to do it anyways."

What disturbs this mother even more is that after the allegations, the boy was allowed to stay in school.

"We have a whole week of him running around free to do god knows what to the other kids," the mother said.

After contacting Cy-Fair ISD on Tuesday -- a spokesperson with the district told Channel 2, "CFISD Police are currently investigating allegations that a student inappropriately touched another student on a bus. We take this matter very seriously and have removed the student from the campus pending outcome of the investigation."

The parents of the girl have obtained a lawyer and have pressed charges against the 11-year-old boy for indecency with a child.

They are waiting to see if the district attorney will accept the charges.
