HOUSTON – A man chased and fatally shot his ex-wife during a dispute over their child, Houston police said.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. Monday in the 3600 block of Lockwood Drive in northeast Houston.

Lloyd Gipson Carter, 34, is accused of killing his ex-wife, Dominique Tibedeaux.
Investigators said Carter and Tibedeaux met at her mother's apartment, using it as a neutral meeting place when the two got into an argument over a child.
Police said the husband pulled a gun and chased the woman inside the apartment. At some point, they said he fired several shots, killing her.
Officials said Carter fled the scene, but police later found his whereabouts. He was taken into custody without incident.
