Pregnant woman says she witnessed husband being killed

HOUSTON – A pregnant woman said Monday she witnessed the shooting death of her husband in north Harris County.

The shooting was reported about 1 a.m. at the intersection of Hartwick and Aldine Westfield roads.

Harris County deputies said the couple’s car broke down about 12:30 a.m. at the intersection. They said a white or silver Chevrolet SUV drove up behind the car and the driver began honking and using the SUV to push the couple’s car.

Investigators said the victim, identified as Oscar Reyes, got out of the car and began arguing with the driver of the SUV. The SUV driver pulled out a gun and shot Reyes several times. Reyes’ wife jumped out of the car and ran for safety.

Anyone with information about the case should call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
