NORTHWEST HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – One person is dead after a school bus collided head-on with another vehicle in northwest Harris County Monday morning. Investigators said no students were on board.
The crash happened at FM 529 and Jackrabbit Road around 6:30 a.m. Deputies said Darlene Knish was driving in the 1400 block of FM529 when a Ford F150, being driven by Felix DeJesus, made a wide turn and hit her vehicle causing her to veer off and crash head on into the Cy-Fair Independent School District bus.

Deputies said Knish was trapped inside her vehicle. Emergency crews freed her and began CPR. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she died.

The Traffic Enforcement Division of the Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
