Sen. John Cornyn hosts roundtable about Harvey recovery

HOUSTON – U.S. Sen. John Cornyn hosted a roundtable Friday about recovery efforts after Hurricane Harvey.

The discussion highlighted the $500 million recently announced for Harris County flood control projects.

Cornyn was joined by local leaders and the Army Corps of Engineers at Thompson Intermediate School, which was repaired after being flooded during Harvey.

The group talked about the $295-million Clear Creek project, and the $186 million set aside for other critical projects in the county.
