Here is the letter the district sent home to parents:

"I wanted to make you aware that CFISD police and administrators investigated an email threat received by several staff members. Thankfully, the student who sent the emails was identified and arrested. Unfortunately, this type of threat has been spreading through schools nation-wide causing unnecessary concern and panic.

"I cannot stress to you enough the seriousness of emailing, posting or sharing threats, regardless of the intent. This is not a joke and will be treated as a criminal act with very serious consequences. Anyone with information impacting student and staff safety should report it immediately to law enforcement.

"Please know that we will investigate any threat brought forward. Please remind your students of the possible implications of what they are emailing and sharing on social media. We appreciate your partnership in providing a safe environment."
