Suspect wanted in stabbing death of man at southwest Houston sports bar

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division are asking for the public's help to identify a man they said is responsible for a murder.

Police said Rodney Prejean was stabbed to death on May 5 inside a sports bar in the 11600 block of Southwest Freeway.

According to investigators, a man approached Prejean from behind and stabbed him multiple times, then ran away.

Prejean died at the scene, police said.

Investigators describe the man who stabbed Prejean as Hispanic, in his 20s, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect.
