FREEPORT, Texas – Two missing Freeport infants were found safe Friday and an Amber Alert was discontinued.
Officials said the children were found in a trailer park in Angleton. They said they negotiated with the mother of the children until she surrendered the children to an officer and they were taken to Child Protective Services.

The Freeport Police Department was searching for 17-month-old Dominic Smith and 6-month-old Daniel Smith who they believed were with their parents, Ryan and Ashley Smith.
Officials said CPS contacted the parents Thursday notifying them they were going to take the children after getting a court order for child abuse allegations, but the parents fled.
Ryan Smith told KPRC he and his wife deny the allegations and they fled because they were trying to protect their children when they took off with them.

"CPS is just going to hurt them. They are ripping my kids from my family. They did it to my first son who is two years old and weighs 20 pounds. They are not meeting his physical needs or his emotional needs because they ripped him from us, " Ryan Smith said.
The parents are not facing any charges at this time.
Ryan Smith says the family has hired an attorney to get custody of the children back from CPS.
