A truck fire blocked three lanes of traffic on the Katy Freeway eastbound at Park Ten Friday morning.
According to Houston TranStar, the fire broke out just before 8:30 a.m. The driver was able to safely pull onto the shoulder near Park Ten. Authorities said after the fire was put out, the truck started to leak fuel.
The truck has been removed. HazMat crews are on the scene working to clean up the spill and to prevent any leakage from reaching nearby storm drains, officials said.
Drivers should use caution in the area and expect delays.
