HOUSTON – When it comes to huge sporting events, food and competition go hand-in-hand. Some of you may have eaten your weight in wings and queso on Super Bowl Sunday. Everyone loves a good hot dog or nachos when watching the Astros, Rockets or Texans play. And now, you can satisfy your sweet tooth while watching the Olympics on KPRC 2.

Several local bakeries are offering Olympic-themed treats throughout the winter games.

Petite Sweets

OOH LA LA SWEETS: This bakery pays homage to the winter games with decorations that include the Olympic rings, Olympic medals, and Team USA gear. Ooh La La Sweets has three locations. You can try out its Olympic-themed cookies at its Houston location in Town & Country and City Centre, or its two locations in Katy, Westheimer Parkway and Park Row. 

PETITE SWEETS: There's something for every Olympics (and sweets) fan at this bakery. It has cupcakes, cake balls, macarons and sugar cookies! Those treats are available in limited supply at the store on 2700 W Alabama. You can also special order them with a two-day notice.

MICHAEL'S COOKIE JAR: It's cold in Pyeongchang...like, really cold. Michael's Cookie Jar has cookies that showcase the weather the athletes are experiencing at the winter games. The cute snowman treats are wearing a Team USA hat in honor of our U.S. Olympians. Michael's Cookie Jar has three locations in Houston; one is Downtown, the second is on Fountainview and the third is on Weslayan.

DESSERT GALLERY: This bakery is combining patriotism and yummy sweets for the winter games. Its cookies are decorated with red, white and blue. They also include all the Olympic symbols that we have come to know and love: the rings and the medals. You can prove your patriotism (and make your taste buds happy) by trying one of the treats at its location at 3600 Kirby.
