Kate Upton wears retro sweater again to Game 6 of World Series

Upton also wore it to Game 7 of ALCS

HOUSTON – Some models might shy away from wearing the same thing twice. But not Kate Upton. Not when it comes to THE sweater.

The fiancee of Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander made the retro Mitchell & Ness sweater jacket the object of many Houston women's obsessions when she wore it to Game 7 of the American League Championship Series. Since then, it has sold out and left one store with a wait list of 70 people (and growing).

Upton wore the coveted sweater again Tuesday night for Game 6 of the World Series. When the image of Upton popped up during the broadcast, she was proudly cheering on Verlander.

Maybe the sweater is her good luck charm? The last time she wore it, the Astros won Game 7 of the ALCS and advanced to the World Series.

When KPRC 2 first posted the original story about the sweater, Mitchell & Ness restocked it within two hours. By the next day, it was completely sold out.

R&A Sports in Conroe got a few sweaters in stock that week to try and fill the demand. The store sold out as well. It now has about 70 people on a wait list, with more being added every day.

KPRC 2 has been in contact with Mitchell & Ness. It confirms it is sold out and will have more made.

Some people are also trying their luck on eBay. On Tuesday, KPRC 2 found four sweaters being sold on the site. One had prompted a bidding war that was up to $380.
