HOUSTON – Houston Children's Charity partnered Saturday with Texas Mattress Makers to distribute new twin beds, frames, sheets, pillows and blankets to 400 children in need.
Organizers said the charity's A Better Night's Sleep program, which began in 2007, has awarded more than 11,000 beds to Houston children in need since its inception.
"Working with Houston Children's Charity's 'A Better Night's Sleep' program is a very personal thing for me," Texas Mattress Makers owner Youval Meicler said. "I know what it is to have nothing and being able to help these children in need is an honor and blessing."
Texas Mattress Makers has helped to support the program for four years, organizers said.
