On Wednesday, student athletes from Houston Christian University gathered in north Houston to lend a hand to a single mom whose home was damaged by Hurricane Beryl. Public school teacher and artist Vicki Fowler reached out to The Restoration Team for help with home repairs that she was unable to afford.

Students scraped peeling paint off the home and repainted the home’s exterior wood siding and trim. In a matter of four hours, the students were able to transform the home’s curb appeal while also helping to provide a seal to keep water from further damaging the home.
