Thousands of drivers are in rental cars after their vehicles were flooded from Harvey. As toll roads across our area begin charging drivers again, don't forget to add your rental car to your EZ Tag or other toll account.
There are several ways you can do this with the Harris County Toll Road Authority:

EZ TAGs: Customers who already have an EZ TAG account can log on to hctra.org
to order a new tag, and use HCTRA roads immediately while we mail them a tag,
or they can pick one up in one of our EZ TAG store locations. (With an EZ TAG,
customers can also use non-HCTRA roads such as TxDOT’s Grand Parkway.)
EZ Plate: Customers with an account who want to temporarily add a rental car or
other vehicle can log on to www.hctra.org to use the EZ Plate feature to add a license
plate to their account and use HCTRA roads immediately. (Note: this feature
cannot be used to pay tolls on non-HCTRA roads such as TxDOT’s Grand
Parkway.)
EZ TAG Express app: Drivers who do not already have an account can download
the EZ TAG Express mobile app for iOS and Android devices which allows users to
quickly set up a new account using their license plate, and use HCTRA roads
immediately. (Note: this feature cannot be used to pay tolls on non-HCTRA roads
such as TxDOT’s Grand Parkway.)
Cash-reloadable EZ TAG by BancPass: For customers who prefer to pay with cash,
or “pay-as-you-go”, EZ TAG powered by BancPass is available for purchase at
Costco, H-E-B, CVS, Valero and other store locations. ()
For those drivers who accidentally find themselves on a HCTRA road without one
of the above payment options, the Missed-A-Toll feature allows drivers to pay missed tolls at www.hctra.org before it becomes a bill. Drivers can visit
www.hctra.org/MissedAToll for information.

customers to choose the kind of account that meets their needs - EZ TAG, EZ
TAG Express and even a cash-reloadable, pay-as-you-go EZ TAG powered by
