KPRC 2 has reached out to both Ogg and Teare’s campaigns for comment. Ogg’s campaign did not respond to KPRC 2′s inquiry.

Teare’s campaign released the following statement:

“I am incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support and confidence shown by the voters in this poll. It reaffirms what we have known all along – that when given the opportunity to learn about our positive vision for Harris County and contrast it with my opponent’s record of failure, voters overwhelmingly choose progress and change.

“This polling is a testament to the hard work of our team and the countless conversations we’ve had with voters across the county. It’s clear that Democrats from all walks of life are united in their desire for integrity and accountability in the District Attorney’s office.

“I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work, and together, we will ensure that Harris County’s justice system serves everyone fairly and effectively.”

The poll’s release coincides with the onset of early voting at polling sites across the state.
