HOUSTON – On November 5, 2024, Brazoria County voters cast their ballots to decide the county’s next sheriff, a role currently held by Republican incumbent L. Bo Stallman.
Stallman secured 74% of the Republican vote, he is poised to retain his position in the general election, running unopposed.
Stallman, who has served as sheriff since January 2021, centers his platform on enhancing community engagement, expanding staff, and implementing innovations to maintain Brazoria County’s public safety.
While Stallman’s former opponent, Richard Foreman, emphasized priorities around community policing and employee retention, Stallman’s experience with nearly two decades in local law enforcement—including experience as a Texas State Trooper and criminal investigator, resonated with Republican primary voters, shaping a clear path for his continued leadership.
Polls were open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
