Coldplay cancels plans to reschedule Houston concert

HOUSTON – Coldplay announced Friday that the band’s Houston concert which was originally scheduled during Hurricane Harvey has been canceled.

In a statement on the band’s website, the group apologized that they had to cancel the concert, saying everyone who had tickets to the Aug. 25 performance can get a refund.

The band promised that everyone who had tickets to the original concert will have priority access the next time they play Houston.

“We send our love to everyone in Houston and everyone affected by the hurricane,” Coldplay said in the statement.

According to the Ticketmaster website, refunds can only be obtained at the point of purchase. Internet and phone orders will automatically be canceled and refunded, according to the website.
