5-year-old Tessa is seeking someone who’s willing to pet her all day, every day.
If you’re someone who’s a professional at head scratches and pets, you’ll want to apply!
Volunteers at Houston Humane Society say Tessa, a corgi mix, is described as a short, clingy girlfriend -- craving for attention and demanding pets anytime and anywhere.
She can get along with other dogs and families with kids, but is more suited for someone who lives alone and is looking for a companion.
Tessa’s requirements? Must have a comfy couch, and must be available for constant snuggles.
Meet Tessa at the Houston Humane Society, located at 14700 Almeda Rd. in southwest Houston, open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. If you’re interested in welcoming Tessa into your home, you can jump-start the adoption process by filling out this form.
For additional information, call (713) 433-6421 or visit houstonhumane.org.

KPRC 2 Pet Project follow-up: Ariel
Last month, we met Ariel, a pup who’s SUMMERTIME FINE.
Ariel found her forever family to be a part of her world! Her adopters share that they loved her segment on KPRC 2.
Ariel’s new family also shared that they have a family rule on fictional character names -- this means Ariel will get to keep her name! They are most excited for a new companion to help fill the gap after their longtime dog passed away a few months ago.
