KPRC 2 Pet Project: Meet Chubs, the kitty with a heart of gold

Meet 1-year-old Chubs.

Chubs came from a hoarding situation where he was found along with over 100 cats! Volunteers from the Houston Humane Society said even though Chubs came from a less-than-ideal situation, he is still a loving cat!

Described as a cat who would make a wonderful lap companion, Chubs can get along with children well.

Chubs is FIV positive, but don’t let that scare you! He can still live a wonderful life with a fur sibling. To learn more about FIV-positive cats, click here.

Meet Chubs at the Houston Humane Society, located at 14700 Almeda Rd. in southwest Houston, open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. If you’re interested in welcoming Chubs into your home, you can jump-start the adoption process by filling out this form.

KPRC Pet Project Follow-up: Dolce and Gabana

Last week, we featured Dolce and Gabana, a dynamic duo with class and sass.

With thanks to the annual Clear the Shelters event, the pair found their forever family!

The family shared that they only went to the shelter to adopt one cat, but after meeting this dynamic duo, they had to take both!
