HOUSTON – A “Houston Oilers Tribute” pickup truck will be up for auction in Houston this month.
Owned by a lifelong, born and raised Houstonian, the 1980 Chevrolet K10 was originally won in a raffle in the Astrodome in March of 1980 and was a limited-edition tribute to the Houston Oilers and legendary coach Bum Phillips, according to auto auction house Barrett Jackson.

Donning the blue, red and white of the Oilers, the custom truck was nicknamed “The Roughneck,” a salute to the Oilers’ mascot.
The truck will be among the approximately 500 cars set to be auctioned off Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 20-22. Here’s a preview of some of the other collector-type cars that will be featured at the event at NRG Center.
