EL PASO COUNTY, Texas – A grand jury in El Paso County has indicted a woman for allegedly stealing from an animal rescue organization.
Janelle Victoria Contreras is charged with theft of property and fraud in an investigation that spanned two years.

Board members of the Texas Old English Sheepdog Rescue group say Contreras was elected as director of Foster for the organization in 2018.
They tell KPRC 2, she stole tens of thousands of dollars in donated funds intended to help treat sick and neglected dogs.
Court documents allege Contreras fraudulently obtained a PayPal debit card in the name of the organization’s treasurer.
She was arrested on Oct, 11, and given a bond of $20,000.
