Videos of the year: These are the 2022 moments caught on camera we’re not likely to forget anytime soon

HOUSTON – The scary, the amazing, the beautiful, the frightening: these are just some descriptors of the videos from 2022 we won’t forget.

Take a look back at some of the footage from throughout the year that made us look twice and press play again.

VIDEO: Fan handcuffed after running on field, trying to take selfie with Jose Altuve during Game 2 at Minute Maid Park

A Houston Astros fan was seen on camera running onto the field at Minute Maid Park during Game 2 of the American League Championship Series.

KPRC 2′s sports reporter Ari Alexander caught the moment on camera.

The fan, seen in a white t-shirt, reportedly wanted to take a selfie with second baseman Jose Altuve.

Security quickly handcuffed the fan, removed him off the field and the game progressed. Watch more below.

VIDEO: Suspect steals woman’s truck, pistol-whips good Samaritan in north Houston

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division needs the public’s assistance identifying a suspect they said stole a woman’s truck at gunpoint, and pistol-whipped a man who was trying to help her.

A man entered a department store in the 18100 block of Gulf Freeway in September. He walked around the store, removed numerous articles of clothing from their hangers, tried some of the items on and then walked to the luggage section. The man then placed the clothing in an empty duffle bag and walked towards the front entrance/exit of the store.

After the man passed the checkout counter and walked out of the store without paying, he was confronted by an employee. He threatened to harm the woman if she did not get out of his way, then fled the scene, according to HPD.

A 10-foot-long alligator was thwarted during his run of an Atascocita neighborhood by a gator wrangler sporting American flag shorts.

Only in the Houston area, y’all.🤣

Harris County Constable Precinct 4 said in a social media posting that deputies responded to the 13800 block of N Lake Branch Lane to an alligator in the middle of the road.

VIDEO: Coyote seen hopping 6-foot fence in Pecan Grove

Video recorded Tuesday shows a coyote hopping a six-foot fence in someone’s backyard in Pecan Grove. The animal then hopped on a shed.

Surveillance video was released of a suspect seen carjacking a man outside a restaurant in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

VIDEO: Heavy truck plunges off SH 225 in Pasadena, man amazingly walks away

Two 18-wheelers were involved in a collision, causing one of the heavy trucks to flip off the overpass on State Highway 225 and Red Bluff Road, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

Luckily, no one was seriously injured, police said.

Video shows a woman getting out of her vehicle in the 6100 block of Reims on May 24 and a masked man exits a maroon SUV. He runs up to her, telling her to hand over her purse.

Frightening video: Aggravated robbery suspects fire at woman in broad daylight at north Houston gas station

In June, a woman was sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle after fueling up at the gas pumps. The woman said, suddenly, two unknown men appeared on both side of her car, pointing guns and demanding that she get out of the vehicle.

The woman said she panicked and hit the accelerator, speeding away from the suspects. That is when one of the suspects, who was armed with a shotgun, fired a round, striking the rear wing of the vehicle.

Both suspects then fled the scene on foot.

Conroe ISD students and parents were concerned in May over a viral TikTok video being shared on social media, exposing leaked photos from York Junior High School students who expressed discomfort over an apparent lesson plan by a teacher at the school.

Students said the teacher tasked students with an option to do an assignment or buy his books on Amazon and give them a 5-star review for a grade of 100.

In May, Houston police said a man rocking a bright pink warm up suit was caught on camera punching a woman after he snatched her purse off of a hotel counter.

In the video shared by TMZ, rapper Quavo of the internationally known hip-hop group Migos can be seen speaking intensely outside of 810 Billiards and Bowling on San Jacinto Street in downtown Houston, as a man said to be Takeoff stands nearby.

In April, authorities were investigating an incident in which former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson was recorded on video punching a fellow first-class passenger aboard a plane at San Francisco International Airport.

The video shows Tyson leaning over the back of his seat repeatedly striking the unidentified man in the head, drawing blood.

Houston police have arrested the man they said was seen on video robbing his roommate before kidnapping him at their Second Ward home.

A journalist went viral online in February after a montage was shared of his reporting from Russia – in six languages.

Philip Crowther, an international affiliate correspondent for Associated Press, tweeted a video of his coverage on the Ukraine crisis.

In the video, Crowther switches between six languages – English, Luxembourgish, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German.

Seniors enjoy indoor tubing at retirement home

Back before a snowstorm came on the first day of February, a lack of snow actually ruined the good intentions of workers at StoryPoint Senior Living in Saline, Mich.

Employees wanted to try and take residents outside to embrace the cold and snow, and the day was supposed to include tubing, snowball fights and igloo building, said Irina Olgart, vice president of marketing for the community.

A father’s love is on display in a video that went viral out of a rodeo in Belton, Texas, this past February.

Bull rider Cody Hooks shared video of himself falling just outside the bull rider’s gate and, after his nasty fall, laying motionless as the bull rampaged through the ring. Watch the video in the story here.

Scary video: Hear terrifying screams as woman flees car chasing her at Pasadena park

Police are trying to identify the woman seen in a video fleeing a car chasing her across Satsuma Park in Pasadena. (KPRC)

In a video shared on the @PasadenaPDTX Twitter account in late February, a woman is seen running away from what appears to be a gray Ford Escape in the 1000 block of Satsuma Street.

In an update in early March, authorities said, “After a lengthy and exhaustive investigation, our detectives were finally able to contact all of the parties involved in the incident personally. The victim was physically unharmed as a result of Friday’s incident and has requested privacy as our detectives bring this incident to a conclusion. We want to thank everyone who shared, commented, and offered help to this young lady through our social media platforms.”
