HOUSTON – The Houston area will experience an unsettled weather pattern this week, with several rounds of rain in the forecast every day through Thursday.

The heaviest rain will fall in the first half of the week. Models are suggesting some areas could see up to 8 inches of rain Monday through Wednesday.

From weather advisories and forecast models to road conditions and preparations you should make at your home or office, here’s how KPRC 2 can help.

Flood Tracker

KPRC 2 has partnered with the Harris County Flood Control District in order to better serve our community during weather events.

Any time there’s significant rainfall in the Houston area, you’ll can see exactly which regions are seeing the greatest impact at Click2Houston.com/floodtracker.

KPRC 2′s expert meteorologists have flood gauge maps they can use to show you current conditions. When all the gauges are green, we’re in great shape. When gauges start to change to yellow and red, water is rising. This is an easy, visual way to see when and where people and property are most at risk of flooding.
